When you want to use one or more of our images you will need to buy a license to use them. There are two types of license, a Rights Managed license and a Royalty Free license. Some of our images have been designated as Rights Managed images others as Royalty Free.

RM Rights-managed images.
Rights managed images are licensed on a use by use basis. The fee for using an images is determined by what you want to use it for. To price your usage, use our License Rate Calculator to specify the exact rights you wish to buy, for example; the type of products the image will be used in, the size it will be used, the distribution and print run of the products. The rights you request determine the fee you will be charged. When you go on to buy the image for the rights you have specified you are restricted to using the image within those rights. If you want to extend those rights in the future you will need to negotiate with us new fees and a new license before using the image for the extended rights. All licenses of rights-managed images are subject to ANT Photo Library’s Terms and Conditions that you agree to at Registration.

RF Royalty-free images.
Royalty free images may be used by the Licensee many times for many projects all for the initial fee. Pricing is based on the file size that you want to buy and the number of people working on behalf of the Licensee who are entitled to use it, in our case 10. The rights granted to the Licensee are not transferable and are non sub-licensable. This means that if you License the product and use it on behalf of a client the client does not have the right to use that image beyond what you create for them. However you may use the image for many clients. Royalty free images may not be used on products for resale or distributed free if the image is the main selling point of the product. ie postcards, calendars t-shirts etc. All licenses of Royalty-free images are subject to ANT Photo Library’s Terms and Conditions that you agree to at Registration.

To price an image
You will need to Register or log in to calculate a price. Once you have done so please either click on the $ symbol under the thumbnail on the search results page, or the “calculate usage rate” link beside the image on the enlarged comp page or beside the thumbnail in your Cart.

To buy an image.
You will need to Register or log in to access your Cart. Once you have done so please add the image or images you want to buy to your Cart. You can calculate the price either before of after adding them to your Cart.
